About this ebook

She’s the town’s most dependable girl. He’s its most notorious heartbreaker. But one unexpected winter may change everything...

Cassidy Trevor has always been the reliable one—holding her family together and running the day-to-day at their beloved quilt shop in St. Caroline. But behind her polished smile and to-do lists lies a secret she hasn’t shared with anyone: she’s planning to leave her small hometown and finally chase a life of her own.

Matt Wolfe has perfected the art of not getting attached. With a family legacy in firefighting and a front-row seat to life’s most unpredictable tragedies, he’s convinced it’s better never to want too much—because you just might lose it.

When the two are roped into co-chairing St. Caroline’s first Winter Festival, no one expects them to get along—least of all each other. Cassidy is all order and plans; Matt is all charm and chaos. But what starts as a reluctant partnership soon sparks into something neither of them saw coming.

A holiday fling seems like the perfect solution: no strings, no expectations. She’s leaving. He never sticks around. What could possibly go wrong?

Everything—especially when the one person who supports your dreams becomes the one you can't imagine leaving behind.

Set against the snowy charm of a Chesapeake Bay winter, this heartfelt romance is perfect for readers who crave emotional depth, genuine characters, and sweet, small-town love stories with a guaranteed happily ever after.

Two of Hearts is the third book in the St. Caroline Series. I loved this story about Cassidy and Matt, two wonderful characters who are not supposed to be together but can't help themselves. The storyline is well written and captured my interest from the start, with the forbidden romance, humour, family issues, and a sweet romance. This is the first book I have read by this author and I would love to read more. I read and reviewed this book with no obligation.

Julia Gabriel has written a heartfelt 5-star book about the relationship between Cassidy and Matt and the things they have to go through to have a relationship. Matt and Cassidy have known each other for a while since their families are friends. Matt has been asked to take his brother's place as a co-chair for the winter festival along with Cassidy. They spend time together and as they are getting the festival plans sorted out their feelings grow for one another. They both know that their families don't want them to have a relationship because of her sister and his brother are getting married. Cassidy's mother tells her to stay away from Matt and to not mess up things for her sister. Cassidy and Matt start a friend with benefits relationship. After a while, Cassidy breaks it off with Matt since she knows it is not going anywhere with her leaving when she gets accepted to a college. Can Cassidy get over her feelings for Matt and move on with her life, or will she just settle? Will Matt let Cassidy go, or will he go after her and forget what the families wan? This book was a wonderful read that tells of the things the main characters Cassidy and Matt have to go through in order to have a relationship. I would recommend this book to anyone. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
