Our souls are free of our bodys control and independent of brain and mind functions. Our soul is our inner most self who directs us through our lives and makes us the people we were meant to be. Our souls are home to our conscious and free will.
Joseph J. Amodeo was raised in brooklyn, New York. As a youth he played stick ball, drove fast cars, and attended church dances. His first job was a delivery boy at age 13 after school. He proudly rode his ten speed bike in the streets of east Flatbush. Joseph traveled to high school in Manhattan each day by subway and as he exited the station with his friends, they stepped over homeless people on the bowery. This had a lasting immpression and inspired him to dedicate his life advocating for those underserved polulations. He was employed, for 25 years in mental health, housing, and program development. He received a M.A. degree from New York University, Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development in 1975 with a concentration in Rehabiltation Counseling. He was profiled in Neurology Now Magazine by Annie Levy, August 2009 issue and appered on CTV Time Warner. He authored "My Moments of Hope" and was a movie extra in "Music & Lyrics" where I appeared on screen for a few brief seconds.
