About the author

My name is John Henry Parker. I am the grandson of John Henry Berry, a.k.a. “Big Daddy.” My mother is his daughter. When I was at the age of six, Big Daddy and I went fishing. Also on some days, we went walking. When I was seven, Big Daddy took me downtown, and the way I will honor him is by telling his story.
