I love Mars Attacks, Red Sonja and Dynamite comics but this is a disappointment. The art is below average at best (except the Parrillo covers) and the story is weak and bland, but my main complaint is with the writer and/or letterer. I've never read a book with as many writing mistakes. There is at least one spelling mistake, incorrect punctuation usage, double-typed word(s), missing letters/words, bad choice of vocabulary, etc. on every couple of pages (mistakes like using "you're" instead of "your" are simply unacceptable for a multi-award-winning writer). There are inconsistencies in the story; it was shown and mentioned that only one Martian spaceship visited Earth, but we later see 2-3 of them flying in battle, then returning to Mars. Also, when Martians speak, the letterer uses the same speech bubble as humans. This could be improved, such as having a green border for Martian speech bubbles and a different border design, perhaps like this (uuuuu) resembling the Martian brain.
