About the author

Dr. Kaufman is director of the Dotter Institute and past president of the Society of Interventional Radiology. His clinical interests include aortic aneurysms, venous diseases, vascular malformations, and image guide treatment of liver cancers and uterine fibroids. He is also actively involved in clinical research in these areas.Dr. Lee is a Professor of Radiology and Consultant Interventional Radiologist at Beaumont Hospital and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He's been past President of the International Society of Hepato-Biliary and Pancreatic Diseases and the past-President of the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Society of Europe.Trained in Internal Medicine and Radiology in Ireland and completed subspecialty fellowships in Dublin, Cambridge and London. Holds an academic appointment as Clinical Senior Lecturer at the Deakin University School of Medicine and has published widely with over 100 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. Pioneered novel interventional techniques such as the BART technique for TIPS reduction and the adaptation of neurovascular devices for the treatment of complex visceral artery aneurysms.
