About this ebook

A Pirate's Love

Sailing westward toward the Caribbean sun, young Bettina Verlaine obediently sets out to fulfill the promise made by her father--but not by her heart -- a prearranged marriage destined not to be...once the notorious Captain Tristan's pirate ship appears on the horizon.

Abducted by the bold and handsome brigand, the pale-haired beauty surrenders her innocence in the warm caress of the tropical winds -- detesting her virile captor for enslaving her. . .yet loving him for the passionate spell he casts over fragile, yearning heart.

love the writer, but difficult to like a book where the heroine gets raped repeatedly and were the end is more a Stockholm syndrom due to lack of options.

While babysitting I found this book stuffed in a chair. Kids were sleeping and nothing on TV. At 16 I hated to read and avoided it at all costs but I was so bored that I started to read this book. I fell in love. I've read this book over 20 times and have bought and read every book she's written. She helped me discover the joy of reading, I don't believe I would have without ms. Lindsey. I couldn't believe I would get so invested in a novel like this. I did get angry and confused alot (I did NOT at all like Tristan's treatment of Bettina) and couldn't understand why i liked it so much. I think it's was because love won at the end.(btw her first 5 books are in this manor) I've moved on and thru other genres but I will always read anything she writes
