About this ebook

Bridge books, like any other reference books can be tedious reading because they require your undivided attention and concentration. However to eliminate the tediousness this book has been written in a light manner and has been interspersed with Bridge stories, humorous anecdotes and one-liners. For example: All those who play at this club bring joy some when they enter and some when they leave.

About the author

Joe is a retired school teacher who, since retiring, has been able to pursue his passion for Bridge much more earnestly. He teaches the game year round, sometimes with as many as six classes/week, from beginners to advance players. As well, he directs up to 5 games/week, including a club which he and his indispensible wife (sidekick) have run successfully for a number of years in Burlington, Ontario. However, his involvement in the game doesn’t end with teaching and directing. He has also found time to write two published books; this one which you are about to enjoy is the third and 3 more are in various stages of production. The two which have been available for 12 and 3 months respectively are: Why You Seldom Win at Bridge and Bridge: the 7 Deadly Sins. The next 3, not yet available are: 1. Bridge: A Thinker’s Game 2. Bridge:Oddz & Endz 3. Be a Better Bidder
