Oh, this brought some mystery and suspense with some white-hot chemistry. I couldn't put this down. The chemistry between Nicole and Desmond is explosive and I was sucked into them discovering Matt's father. It wasn't something I expected but should have known the author would throw something like that in.

Nicole is a fierce momma bear protecting her nephew’s interests. And she sees Desmond as one of the biggest threats to his safety and stability. The initial animosity between this pair lights their chemistry up. It’s no wonder that they go from enemies to lovers. I feel like I’ve come to the series kind of late, since I was only introduced to the Mesa Falls Dynasty with book five, The Rancher. But I knew right away that I wanted to know how their mystery was going to wrap up. This was not at all what I was expecting. There are twists and unexpected revelations around every corner. I love where this leaves our characters, yet I’m a little sad that it’s over already. I received a complimentary copy of this book through Booksprout.
