Hidden Danger is the first book in Jerusha Agen’s Guardians Unleashed series. This series follows a group of females and their amazing dogs that make up the Phoenix K-9 Security and Protection Agency. Cora and her narcotics detection dog, Jana, are the focus of this first novel. Cora is strong in her faith, but often weak in her view of how valuable she is to God and those around her. I loved how Cora clung to her faith in God amid so much adversity. DEA Special agent Kent Thomson is Cora’s opposite in many ways. He is totally reliant upon himself and sees faith and even kindness as a weakness that he can’t afford. His relationships reflect this belief, that is, until he meets Cora. The progression of their relationship is one of my favorite parts of this novel. Agen’s story is not just a romance, however, it is an attention-grabbing suspense! Both Kent and Cora want to take down a drug cartel that has affected their pasts. These two and their colleagues face some intense situations from the very beginning. Agen also does a fantastic job of tying everything up by the final page. I highly enjoyed this book and recommend it for readers of Christian romantic suspense. I was given a copy of this book by the author. All opinions are my own.

Hidden Danger is filled with danger and adventure but also warmth, uplifting and inspirational moments. The main characters find themselves in one situation after another forcing them to use their cunning and wits to keep ahead of the people that are after them. Lots of action and surprises will keep you on the edge of your seat. The main characters, Cora & Kent, are exciting and quirky at times. The author showed their weaknesses as well as their strengths which made them more relatable and by the end of the book, I felt as though I really knew them. The Christian aspect was woven into the story perfectly. The main character's faith grew making them strong when they needed to be. Highly recommended. I received an ARC from the author and willingly choose to review it. All opinions are my own.

Hidden Danger is full of suspense, romance, and faith! It was hard to put it down when life got in the way. (Kidding!) I liked seeing the transformation of Kent. Cora had a heart of gold and I liked her character, but wanted to have a heart-to-heart with her about what she viewed as a mistake she’d made. I’m glad Bris helped set her straight that what Cora thought was her mistake wasn’t really a mistake. I look forward to learning more about the other members of the Phoenix K-9 family in future books. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
