Jared has unexpectedly become a family man after inheriting custody of his niece. He’s reunited with his former high school sweetheart, Caroline, in their hometown. Can they put their past hurts behind them to build a future together? I enjoyed this second-chance, found-family romance. The characters are fun, the conflict is realistic, and there’s also a bit of a mystery at Caroline’s workplace. I look forward to the next book in the series.
