WOW!! I loved, loved, loved Zoe and Padric’s second chance love story in Yours Since Yesterday by Jennifer Bernard, book two in her Lost Harbor, Alaska series. When Padric mysterious reappears in Lost Harbor, Zoe is blown away. She can’t imagine that her one-time best friend would remember her let alone return to see her. In fact, since he left fifteen years ago, Zoe has had the worse track record possible when it can to men and romance. After receiving a mysterious letter concerning the well-being of his childhood/teen friend Zoe, rock star Padric finds himself postponing his tour and hopping on the next flight north. Zoe’s been on his mind and in his lyrics since he left her behind and once he sets eyes on the stunning grown-up version of his best friend, he knows he must do whatever it takes to have her, keep her and make her his this time around. Not everyone in town is excited about Padric’s return since it brings back memories of The Scandal and has someone doing their best to get rid of him. With all of the memories, crazy angsty fans, unexpected danger, and the family demands on Zoe, these two will still try to find their way back to loving each other. Ms. Bernard wrote an amazing, visual, sexy and magical escape that is not to be missed. She provided a tale rich with sexual chemistry, amusing banter, and endearing characters giving Zoe Padric a chance at forever love. I highly recommend Yours Since Yesterday to other readers and can’t wait for the next story in this series. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Zoe’s bad luck with men is EPIC! It all started as a teen. Zoe and Padric had been best friends forever, until that fateful day. On a hiking excursion after experiencing her first kiss, Zoe’s life as she knows it comes to an abrupt end. Zoe’s father and Padric’s mom had an affair that became fodder for town gossip for YEARS. Padric was able to escape the shame, gossip and taunts. Zoe wasn’t so lucky. Zoe’s parents had a volatile relationship to begin with, but it only got worse with the affair. Zoe’s bad luck with men continued with her following relationships. One even ended with her ex fiancé suing her. So, Zoe makes their family pizza shop her top priority. Padric never thought he’d ever come back to Lost Habor, but certainly didn’t expect the chilly greeting he received from his former best friend Zoe. Especially when he came back for her, to help her. Padric left under a cloud of gossip, but came back a rock star. Although he’s been “living the life”, he never could forget the one he left behind. When he receives a letter “indicating” Zoe’s ill and needs help, he rushes to be by her side. As they become reacquainted, they soon discover her twin sister’s deception. But playing along leads to real feelings, a rekindling of their friendship. Will it be enough to bring them together or send him back on tour forever... Woohoo 🙌🏻. What a way to follow up with the second in the Lost Harbor series! So different, yet the same. The suspense was page turning! I actually didn’t guess the bad guy until the very end. I loved how manipulative the twins were, because it was for a good cause. Padric’s encouragement for Zoe to follow her dreams and submit her artwork was swoon worthy! And finally, I loved it when Zoe FINALLY stood up to her mom after all these years! I highly recommend this second chance novel. I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.

This is why second chance romances are one of my very favorite tropes! Padric and Zoe's love story is absolutely wonderful and chock full of everything a romance book should have; it is sweet, charming, funny, sexy and emotional. Jenny Bernard never fails me with her incredible words and stories and this series also has the beautiful setting of Alaska to go with it. Zoe and Padric were best friends who as young teens decided to see what would happen if they kissed, and let me tell you they could never have predicted what actually did happen. Many years of separation follow until one day Padric, who is now a famous singer, finds his way back to Lost Harbor. Zoe, who has never left and has had bad luck with relationships ever since, is not as happy to see Padric as he is to see her. After all, he went back there for her. What happens after that is simply magical. I absolutely adore Padric and Zoe, their transforming relationship and everything about their story. This is a such a fantastic series!!!!
