Natalie and Brandon have a complicated history. When a virus reanimates the dead, the death of her loved one leaves Natalie feeling pretty helpless and alone, so she really doesn’t have much of a choice but to find Brandon again, even after cutting ties with him long ago. Once reunited, they’re fortunate enough to find safety with a group of survivors.
When a stranger shows up at their camp, his presence sets in motion a chain of events, which puts them face to face with a madwoman who threatens to ruin everything Natalie and her friends have built. If Natalie can outlast the dead-not-dead and everything else this world throws at her, she will have to decide if continuing to lean on everyone else for support is really the best way to survive after all.
Jay Ishino is a big fan of collecting things until she runs out of space. T-shirts, mugs, books, you name it. You can usually find her writing or editing with a hyperactive chug, a sweet supermutt, and a very old and sassy French bulldog nearby.
