Ten Great Religions by James Freeman Clarke is a landmark comparative religion study exploring ten of the world’s major faiths—from Confucianism and Hinduism to Judaism and Islam—and positioning Christianity in dialogue with them. It remains a classic in interfaith scholarship.

About the author

Lady Mary Anne Barker (1831–1911) was a British author, journalist, and colonial memoirist known for her works on domestic economy and travel. Drawing from her experiences in England, New Zealand, and South Africa, she authored numerous handbooks aimed at improving the lives of women in household and colonial settings. Her books combined practical wisdom with scientific curiosity, and she was one of the earliest voices to popularize domestic science for middle-class readers.
