Dr. William S. Smith is the Executive President of the World Phenomenology Institute. Dr. Jadwiga S. Smith is the Co-President (American Division) of the World Phenomenology Institute. They both have worked closely with Dr. Anna-Teresa Tymieniecka since the mid-1980s. Drs. William and Jadwiga Smith published widely in the Analecta Husserliana and the Phenomenological Inquiry, organized international conferences and participated in the WPI at all levels. They are professors emeriti of English at Bridgewater State University, Bridgewater, Massachusetts, USA.
Dr. Marie Antonios Sassine was until recently the Executive Director for The Centre on New Questions in Ethics, Society, and Technology (CETS) at Dominican University College, Canada. Her primary areas of focus are phenomenology, continental philosophy, and philosophy of science. She is on the editorial board of the Analecta Husserliana. She has given conferences and published articles in both English and French on the creative imagination in Ibn‘Arabi and Philo of Alexandria, on Jan Patočka and Plato, as well as on Husserl and Jean Ladrière and their critique of technique. Her latest publications and conferences have been on the relation between aesthetics and ethics or politics, particularly in the work of Hannah Arendt.
