Okay, but didn't realise it was a story with religious overtones, which annoyed me with the storyline when problems were happening that trust in God and it will all be well. I accept that some people have beliefs and I respect them, but if I had realised this was an underlying message in this book, I would not have purchased it. Otherwise the story was interesting.

I love Irene Hannon's books so much! I have read this book multiple times, and each time I read it, I fell in love with it more! Irene does a great job of melding romance, suspense, and faith together. I love Liz and Jake's story. Their history adds great depth, and I love seeing their growth. I love how Irene used forgiveness in this book. It added a great element, and I love how it was resolved in the end. Content Warning: -Kidnapping -Murder -Loss of loved ones -Kisses only

From the first page to the last, this book was intensely captivating. I even found myself praying for the characters! I am so glad I read this. It is one of the best books I've ever read!
