This book provides an extensive overview of the role of imaging in the detection, diagnosis, management, and follow-up of tuberculosis. Chapters cover the disease's epidemiology and pathophysiology, microbiological diagnosis and pathology relevant to radiologists, and the distinct aspects of imaging tuberculosis at various locations and body systems. This book discusses recent advances in imaging pertaining to tuberculosis, and addresses the approach to patients with tuberculosis and HIV co-infection. The final chapter offers an algorithmic approach to the diagnosis and management steps of tuberculosis. Imaging of Tuberculosis is an updated and comprehensive reference source that covers imaging of tuberculosis in a structured fashion and is valuable for radiologists.
Sobre l'autor
Mohamed Fethi Ladeb is a Professor of Radiology at the Medical School of Tunis. He was the former Head of the Department of Radiology, M. Kassab Orthopaedic Institute, Tunisia. His subspecialty interest is musculoskeletal radiology. He is a member of the International Skeletal Society, French Radiologic Society, Swiss Radiologic Society, Tunisian Radiologic Society, and the Tunisian Society of Telemedicine. His academic output comprises 100 journal publications, 17 book chapters, 2 guidelines, and 2 books – Musculoskeletal Hydatosis and Imaging of Spinal Infection.
Wilfred C. G. Peh is a Clinical Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, and former Head of the Department of Diagnostic Radiology, Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, Singapore. His subspecialty interest is musculoskeletal radiology. He was Founding President of the Asian Musculoskeletal Society and is a recipient of the President’s medal from the International Skeletal Society. He has authored more than 500 journal publications, 70 book chapters, and 9 books.
