The bulk of the book addresses different specific spinal infections caused by various pathogens. These comprise chapters on hematogeneous pyogenic spondylodiscitis, iatrogenic spinal infection, pyogenic epidural abscess, spinal brucellosis, salmonella spondylodiscitis, spinal tuberculosis, spinal hydatidosis, and fungal spondylodiscitis.
