This graduate/upper-division undergraduate textbook provides a solid grounding in the theory underlying the design and analysis of hydraulic structures, including spillways, energy dissipators, culverts, flow measuring structures and others. O autoru
C.S. James (BSc(Eng), MS, PhD) is (retired) Professor Emeritus in the School of Civil & Environmental Engineering at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. The book is based on the development of a postgraduate course at this university by the author over more than twenty years.
