“Geochemical samples of stream alluvium in McCormick County, S.C., supplemented by samples of saprolite and rock in the vicinity of the Jennings and Dorn mines, indicate a north-trending zone of stream basins containing alluvium anomalously rich in copper, lead, zinc, manganese, and gold. This zone of anomalous stream basins lies along possible faults which cut the extensions of mining areas at a high angle, suggesting a new northward direction in which prospecting may be most fruitful”.
