Samantha Helsing was born into a legacy she didn't want and struggles with her role as a hunter of the night creatures. The Tophet are uncovered and Samantha finds her real father and now understands the fate of her mother. A chronicle of another of the Helsings is presented as a back story, this one set during the second World War.
