Her previous educational background includes attending SMAN Bernas in Riau Province, Pelalawan National Middle School, SD 004 Bukit Agung, and Kindergarten Kuncup Mekar. She was born in Pekanbaru on June 21, 2004, and is currently 20 years old. Helita resides in Mendalo Asri. She has two parents, Nelson Sitorus and Santi, and also has three siblings.

She began her academic path by earning a bachelor's degree in economics from the Faculty of Economics at Jambi University in 1988. As the seventh child of Sutiem and William Siem Lamsang, Rike did not stop at her undergraduate degree. She pursued further education, obtaining a master's degree in management from the Faculty of Economics at Jambi University, graduating with distinction in 2003. Her extraordinary dedication was evident when she earned her Doctorate in Management Science from the Doctoral Program at Universitas Padjadjaran Bandung in 2018.
