Katia Vecchio is an Italian comic artist who studied at the International School of Comics in Rome. She made her debut in 2018 with Wild Strawberries at The World's End (Source Point Press) and has gone on to illustrate other works such as Wild Rose and, in collaboration with various other artists from around the world, When the Pain Starts: Poetry As Sequential Art. Katia lives in a small, quiet town in southern Italy and is regularly bemused by the strange events that happen in her street, such as the neighbor who cleans his car every hour, an elderly lady who hangs her clothes to dry on the sidewalk, and the street greengrocer yelling incomprehensible things on his megaphone. One day, they might make it into one of her comics.
