Newbie reporter Tess is in charge of writing the movie column for her paper. She meets Mike, the movie critic from her rival paper, by chance at the movie theater. A former star reporter, Mike acts like Tess is a spoiled princess because she’s from a wealthy family, and every time he sees her, he makes fun of her and half-jokingly hits on her. This day is no different, but Tess loses her patience with Mike’s teasing. She challenges him to a wager to see which of them can get published on the front page first. And so begins a passionate battle between reporters. They have no idea that a different kind of passionate destiny is in store for them, too!
