NCIS Special Agent Vincent Fitzgerald is assigned to find missing naval scientist Skylar Baang, who’s working on a top-secret sonar schematic. When it’s discovered that she’s been kidnapped, Vin is convinced that mercenaries took the American/Filipino beauty for her brain and the secrets inside, and he intends to get her back in one piece. Skylar is more angry than scared when she’s kidnapped. Always resourceful, she escapes right into the arms of Vin, but her ordeal is not over. The men who took her have no intention of giving up, and she must stay in Vin’s protective custody. To keep her safe, Vin must get past Skyler’s formidable walls, get her to trust him, and figure out why they want her. But, it’s not what he thinks as the kidnappers absolutely want what is locked up in Skylar’s head, but it has nothing to do with her Navy secrets.
