Sowohl die Grammatikalisierungstheorie als auch Konzepte des Spracherwerbs machen den Vorgang als Abfolge von Reanalyse-Schritten und Rekodierungen verständlich. Die Grammatikalisierung wird sprachhistorisch ebenso wie beim Erwerb von der Medialität der Sprache, insbesondere der Schriftlichkeit, entscheidend mitbestimmt. Vor diesem Hintergrund untersucht der Sammelband Genese und Aneignung grammatischer Formen und macht Ähnlichkeiten, aber auch grundbegrifflich wichtige Unterschiede zwischen Soziogenese und Spracherwerb deutlich.
