關於本電子書

A captivating memoir of a young woman's return to her beloved India, filled with humor, wisdom, and enchantment.

In the second book of her autobiography, M. M. Kaye returns to India, the cherished country of her childhood, after spending several years at a British boarding school. It is 1927, and nineteen-year-old Mollie makes her debut on the Delhi social scene. Though she feels awkward and plain, and struggles with party etiquette and society's intricate rules, Mollie finds comfort in her family, her Indian friends, her watercolors, and the country itself.

With the same engaging style that inspired her bestselling novels, Kaye re-creates the nuances of a lifestyle long past and brings the people and glorious terrain of India to vivid life in Golden Afternoon. This captivating memoir offers a personal narrative filled with humor, wisdom, and enchantment that will delight fans of Kaye's work and those interested in the experiences of British women in colonial India.
