Gabrielle Prendergast is the award-winning author of numerous books for children and teens. She won the BC Book Prize for her YA sci-fi novel Zero Repeat Forever and the Westchester Award for her YA novel Audacious. After years of working in social welfare and the music and film industries, Gabrielle began writing books when she became a mother so she could work from home. She is the author of Aftershock and Flash Flood in the Orca Anchor series and the picture book Dear Polar Bears. Gabrielle lives in East Vancouver.
Sophie Benmouyal is a freelance illustrator based in Montreal. After working as a graphic designer for a few years, she decided to pursue her dream of becoming a freelance childrenβs book illustrator. From her home studio, she likes to explore colors and textures while experimenting with different techniques. Her two full-of-life little girls are her main source of inspiration by reminding her daily of the importance of dreams and play. They are also an excellent excuse for her compulsive childrenβs book buying.
