À propos de cet e-book

Key Selling Points
  • A sloth falls from a tree onto the road, where a kindly truck driver takes it to a vet so it can be patched up and returned to its home.
  • Told entirely in short rhyming sentences (such as "Your toe, sloth, your toe!" and "Let's go, sloth, let's go!") this story makes a wonderful read-aloud and a great book for beginning readers to learn along with.
  • Go, Sloth, Go! emphasizes how important it is to help out when someone gets hurt, and shows a trip to the vet clinic (including an x-ray and stitches) in a friendly, unthreatening light, for any readers nervous about the doctor's office.
  • Uses a light, age-appropriate tone to show how human incursion on wildlife habitats puts animals at risk—but also how humans can do their part to help.
  • Sophie Benmouyal's bright, beautiful artwork evokes the colorful rainforest ecosystem, complete with monkeys and parrots, and pairs perfectly with Gabrielle Prendergast's whimsical, humorous text.

À propos de l'auteur

Gabrielle Prendergast is the award-winning author of numerous books for children and teens. She won the BC Book Prize for her YA sci-fi novel Zero Repeat Forever and the Westchester Award for her YA novel Audacious. After years of working in social welfare and the music and film industries, Gabrielle began writing books when she became a mother so she could work from home. She is the author of Aftershock and Flash Flood in the Orca Anchor series and the picture book Dear Polar Bears. Gabrielle lives in East Vancouver.

Sophie Benmouyal is a freelance illustrator based in Montreal. After working as a graphic designer for a few years, she decided to pursue her dream of becoming a freelance children’s book illustrator. From her home studio, she likes to explore colors and textures while experimenting with different techniques. Her two full-of-life little girls are her main source of inspiration by reminding her daily of the importance of dreams and play. They are also an excellent excuse for her compulsive children’s book buying.
