Di piacevole lettura, nonostante il tono prevalentemente impersonale che tuttavia si colora talvolta d'ironia e, in taluni brani, d'intenso lirismo. Particolarmente appassionato e probabilmente venato d'autobiografismo, il capitolo sui terrori notturni.
