Silver and Salt: Haven and Sunshine

Many lifetimes ago, he met the most amazing creature, a girl, who lit up the world like sunshine. He was not only willing to die to protect her, but did. Not that it did either of them any good in the end. And then he had lost her again, watching her disappear into the wind. He can no longer wait for her in this life. He is ready to find her in the next life.

Nara Millard found her Haven, but he is not the man she had left. He’s older, weather worn, and the fight appears to have evaporated from his still broad shoulders. His run in with a creature impossible to find in the middle of the desert has taken more than he had left to give.

But there is more to the creatures hiding within the odd village than the rain they call, and the woman who seems to control them. Haven and Sunshine have spent their lives searching for each other, or the creatures they know they must defeat­­­. Yet something in this village knows more than they do. And they may lose far more than the answers they seek.
