Tierney Chair in Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of California, Irvine, and the recipient of the 2018 National Academy of Sciences Estes award. Her book Nuclear Logics: Contrasting Paths in East Asia and the Middle East (2007) won the American Political Science Association's Woodrow Wilson Award for best book, and the ISA's Jervis and Schroeder Award.
