About this ebook

Spanning more than 100,000 verses, the Mahabharata is undoubtedly one of the largest epics in the world. On the surface, the story of the Kuru Dynasty, and their struggles for power, the epic deals with far reaching themes of love, friendship, hatred, and every emotion in between. The great war at its centre ends with the lines between right and wrong and the victors and vanquished all blurring together.

This book of Tales is the author’s interpretation of some of the events of the epic, and deals with mostly imaginary scenarios which are not touched upon in the epic.

Despite its vastness and scope, the epic glosses over several areas which have formed a part of the imaginary landscape of several authors and this book is the result of the imagination of one such author.

This collection includes the short story, “The Forgotten Son,” which had won Honourable Mention in the Writers of the Future Contest.
