### DEVASTATE ### Have I ever mentioned how much I love Pam Godwin’s brilliantly twisted storytelling? Be it her brand of dark romance or an intricately complicated love triangle. And I’ve never, ever started / read one of her books without my heart pounding ridiculously fast – the unpredictability only makes it ten times worse. Yeah, it’s that kind of stories. Addictive. Awe-inspiring. And just freaking spellbinding. This author never ceases to wow me with her words. DEVASTATE is no different. It’s just one more of her stories that slayed me. That gave me stuff to think about for days to come. I could go on and on, but I’ll leave it at that, although that’s almost all I can say about it, because there’s not much to be said about the story itself that wouldn’t be spoiler-y. And believe me, you don’t want that. At all. You need to experience the whole magnitude of these words yourself. That being said, DEVASTATE is the fourth book in an utterly complex and riveting series. It’s dark. It’s uncomfortable. It’s questionable – even wrong. But it’s also oh-so deliciously good. And right. So like the other instalments – and yet nothing like those at all. Ms. Godwin is a master when it comes to creating worlds within a world. While there are similarities, cameos of beloved old characters, even their further development to be seen (and it’s everything!), there are these tons and tons of new facets to this world added to it as well. And devastate, this book did: It’s Lucia’s, Camilla’s younger sister’s, and Tate’s story. A true enigmatic alpha male meets his match in a resilient and feisty heroine. Swoon! This one is a series not to miss – if you love dark romance or not – go one-click! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ### MANIPULATE ### Oh my. Starting a new Pam Godwin book always has me anxious and giddy all at once – especially with this series. You just never know what you are going to get with her intricately woven dark stories – and that’s exactly she has become one of my absolute favorite authors out there. I just love her evil mastermind! That being said, nothing could have prepared me for the onslaught that rained down on me – same with Tula: Nothing could have prepared her for Ricky and Martin … Gosh, I can’t even describe my excitement when I learned MANIPULATE would be MMF – or MFM at the very least. What I got was basically all my favorite things delivered in one intense, dark book. Intrigue. Suspense. Mystery. A prison story. Angst. Danger. M on M action. Filled to the brim with triggers. And hotness. Holy hell, the hotness!! And that deprived darkness … what a combination. I got chills, seriously! This all wouldn’t have worked for me, if the connection and intimacy between the three of them had been off – but thankfully, it wasn’t. These three belong together, they live and breathe their love, it’s powerful – and seeps through every written word. It was beauty within all that darkness that was this prison. To keep things spoiler-free, I will stop right here. Just know this: MANIPULATE is that type of book you will want to inhale but want to last forever in equal measure – it’s that good! Book seven cannot come soon enough!
