 The Author obtained Bachelorâs and Masterâs degree from the Sambalpur University and owned the University Gold Medal in Zoology in 1974. Did his doctorate in 1981 in âBiology, reproduction and effect of hormones on the female gonad of a freshwater osteichthyesâ from the Utkal University, Orissa. Author has served in Regional Research Laboratory (CSIR), State Department, Deputed to ICAR Coordinated Projects and in University. He has already put about 28 years of services in the field of fisheries at various capacities in RRL (CSIR), State Department, ICAR Coordinated Project and in University. He has guided three Ph.D students leading to Ph.D Degree. He had been to abroad sponsored under FAO/UNDP programme and have standard research papers to his credit. He was working as Director, College of Fisheries (OUAT) from 1999 to 2002 and also as Director College of Basic Science and Humanities (OUAT) from 2005 to 2008. Presently the author is holding the post of HOD Aquaculture in the College of Fisheries, Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology.
