Genaro J. Perez is Professor of Hispanic Literature at Texas Tech University. His academic publications include five books: Formalist Elements in the Novels of Juan Goytisolo, 1979; La novelΓstica de J. Leyva, 1985; La novela como burla/juego: siete experimentos novelescos de Gonzalo Torrente Ballester, 1989; La narrativa de Concha AlΓ³s: texto, pretexto y contexto, 1993; Ortodoxia y heterodoxia de la novela policiaca hispana: Variaciones sobre el gΓ©nero negro, 2002. He has also written two books of poetry (Prosapoemas and Spanish Quarter Notes) and a novel (The Memoirs of John Conde). Co-Editor and Managing Editor of Monographic Review/Revista monogrΓ‘fica. Over fifty articles published in refereed journals (Hispania, Insula, Letras Femeninas, Confluencia, Romance Notes, HispanΓ³fila, etc.) Hundreds of book reviews have appeared in professional journals, and he has presented over 110 papers at regional, national and international professional meetings.
