Genaro J. Perez is Professor of Hispanic Literature at Texas Tech University. His academic publications include five books: Formalist Elements in the Novels of Juan Goytisolo, 1979; La novelรญstica de J. Leyva, 1985; La novela como burla/juego: siete experimentos novelescos de Gonzalo Torrente Ballester, 1989; La narrativa de Concha Alรณs: texto, pretexto y contexto, 1993; Ortodoxia y heterodoxia de la novela policiaca hispana: Variaciones sobre el gรฉnero negro, 2002. He has also written two books of poetry (Prosapoemas and Spanish Quarter Notes) and a novel (The Memoirs of John Conde). Co-Editor and Managing Editor of Monographic Review/Revista monogrรกfica. Over fifty articles published in refereed journals (Hispania, Insula, Letras Femeninas, Confluencia, Romance Notes, Hispanรณfila, etc.) Hundreds of book reviews have appeared in professional journals, and he has presented over 110 papers at regional, national and international professional meetings.
