نبذة عن المؤلف

F. Scott Fitzgerald, born on September 24, 1896, in St. Paul, Minnesota, is one of America's most celebrated authors, best known for his evocative depictions of the Jazz Age. A Princeton dropout, Fitzgerald's literary career took off with the publication of his debut novel, "This Side of Paradise," in 1920, which captured the post-World War I disillusionment and the hedonistic pursuits of the younger generation.Fitzgerald's life was as tumultuous as his prose was elegant. He married Zelda Sayre, a Southern belle whose own artistic ambitions and struggles with mental illness deeply influenced his work. Their glamorous yet troubled marriage epitomized the highs and lows of the Roaring Twenties. The couple's extravagant lifestyle, marked by lavish parties and reckless spending, mirrored the excesses of the era they so vividly chronicled.Despite his early success, Fitzgerald's later years were marred by financial difficulties and declining health, exacerbated by his alcoholism. He moved to Hollywood in the 1930s to work as a screenwriter, a period that provided both creative frustration and a modest income. His unfinished final novel, "The Last Tycoon," was published posthumously, adding to his legacy of exploring the American Dream's complexities and contradictions.Fitzgerald's influence extends far beyond his own time. His lyrical prose and keen social commentary have inspired countless contemporary writers, while his exploration of themes like ambition, love, and despair continue to resonate. Controversially, his works have been scrutinized for their portrayal of gender and class, sparking ongoing debates about their cultural impact.F. Scott Fitzgerald remains a towering figure in American literature, his life and works offering a poignant reflection on the fleeting nature of success and the enduring quest for meaning in a rapidly changing world.
