Alex and Jamie aren’t like other people. They aren’t fazed by his moods. They laugh at his critical analysis of nineties cinema. Justin doesn’t have words for this thing between the three of them, but he knows romance isn’t supposed to be part of it. As long as he ignores his feelings, maybe they can have fun. Keep it simple. Don’t fail.
Except Justin’s not great at simple, and real damn good at failing. He’s not brave enough to be with them, and trying might destroy everything. It’s too big a risk. He can’t be this strong, passionate person they see him as…unless maybe he already is.
