About this eBook

Friendship with Politics is the story of Chiku, a young man from Mandi, Punjab, who returns home after several years, excited to reconnect with his childhood friend, Kapish. However, things are not the same anymore. Kapish, who was once an ordinary boy, has now become a powerful political figure. At first, Chiku is happy for him, but soon, he realizes that politics has changed Kapish. His rise to power was not due to hard work or honesty but through manipulation, corruption, and propaganda. The more Chiku observes, the more he understands that his friend is not the same person he once knew.

As Chiku starts questioning Kapish’s political success, he uncovers shocking truths—a land scam, a web of deceit, and the betrayal of public trust. Though he values their friendship, he cannot ignore the corruption around him. His sense of justice pushes him to take a stand. Using his knowledge of politics and social media, Chiku begins exposing the truth. He writes articles, shares facts online, and challenges the false image that Kapish has created. But standing up against a powerful politician is not easy. Chiku faces criticism, threats, and loneliness, yet he refuses to give up. In the end, his efforts shake Kapish’s political empire, but more importantly, Chiku realizes that truth, integrity, and courage matter more than personal relationships.

"Politics sirf netaon ka khel nahi hai, balki har insaan ke jeevan ka hissa hai. Yeh kitaab batati hai ki dosti bhi is khel ka hissa ban sakti hai, par jab paisa aur power beech mein aata hai toh kaise rishton ka matlab badal jata hai. Kahani ekdum engaging hai aur padhne ke baad aap sochne par majboor ho jaoge!"

About the author

Deepanshu Kumar Gupta, a Political Science graduate from the University of Delhi, brings his experiences and observations into his book, Friendship with Politics. Having been actively involved in student politics in college, he blends academic learning with real-world political realities.

Born in Rajasthan and raised in Punjab, Deepanshu has closely witnessed how politics affects people’s lives. His book explores corruption, media influence, and political propaganda, shedding light on the hidden truths behind power and loyalty in politics. He highlights how the public often falls victim to misinformation, blindly trusting social media while ignoring credible news sources. In today’s world, where fake narratives spread faster than facts by social media and everyone trusts in it, Friendship with Politics urges readers to question what they see and think critically about the changing face of politics in the 21st century.
