The philosophy of John Macmurray is only now receiving the attention it deserves. It is in the contemporary climate of dissatisfaction with individualism that Macmurray's emphasis on the relations of persons has come to the fore. Hence, Macmurray's philosophy is informed by fairly unconventional religious beliefs.
