Né en 1956, journaliste au Figaro et au « Masque et la Plume », Eric Neuhoff a obtenu le Prix des Deux Magots en 1996 pour Barbe à papa, le prix Interallié en 1997 pour La petite Française, le Grand Prix du Roman de l'Académie française en 2001 pour Un bien fou, le prix Cazes en 2017 pour Costa Brava, et le Renaudot Essai 2019 pour (Très) Cher cinéma français.
