This book was difficult to even read. Was it written ok. Yes. Not the best writing though. There were a lot of superfluous words and overkill. I am glad this was free. I would have been furious If I had to pay. You can tell though from the beginning it was going to be dull.

This is an amazing start to the Timber Creek series!!!!! Cam has returned home to Timber Creek after being publicly humiliated by her soon-to-be-ex-husband with her teenage daughter in tow. She's not expecting to be pulled over by her first love and town cop, Evan. There is so much left unresolved between them so Cam's return means they can finally get some answers about what happened 16 years ago. I loved everything about this book!! Cam is so strong and really showed it in how she dealt with her move, her daughter, and her exes. Their journey, both the past and present, was perfectly laid out and I was rooting for them from the second he pulled her over. I'm really want to patient for the other characters HEA but I don't know that I can be!! I can't wait for the next book in this series!

A sweet story. It is very much like the Harlequin Romance novels. There are parts I found heart warming but there is the drama to balance the story. This is an easy read and is perfect for a vacation read.
