About the author

Edward R. Maher is the West Coast VP for Hawkins Associates Company, Inc., an avionics distributor with over 2500 dealers across the United States and parts of Europe. He began his career as an electrical mechanic in the Air Force, then worked as an avionics technician and Manager for Beech Aircraft Corporation, then later managed the Avionics shop at Crownair. Mr. Maher is the author of three other books on aircraft and is a contributing writer to Avionics News, Kitplanes, and Aviation Maintenance magazines.
