It was love at first sight for Pauline and Aiden, the cyborg once known by the designation AL16, with a happily ever after Pauline never expected to find on New Eden. But their love story comes to a horrifying end following an accident that leaves Aiden dead and Pauline’s heart shattered.
Hope returns when a new cyborg, AL17, is cloned, only to be dashed when he remembers nothing about Pauline, his fellow cyborgs, or New Eden. AL is humorless and robotic, the polar opposite of Aiden. Yet he’s still drawn to her for reasons he can’t explain, and Pauline can’t seem to keep herself away from him, either.
