About this eBook

It was love at first sight for Pauline and Aiden, the cyborg once known by the designation AL16, with a happily ever after Pauline never expected to find on New Eden. But their love story comes to a horrifying end following an accident that leaves Aiden dead and Pauline’s heart shattered.

Hope returns when a new cyborg, AL17, is cloned, only to be dashed when he remembers nothing about Pauline, his fellow cyborgs, or New Eden. AL is humorless and robotic, the polar opposite of Aiden. Yet he’s still drawn to her for reasons he can’t explain, and Pauline can’t seem to keep herself away from him, either.

But there’s little time for them to explore their connection when a new threat to New Eden appears—and AL17 might be just the person to save the planet.

"She could not let herself think of such possibilities if she wanted to keep her heart from shattering again." I can't believe this is the last book in the series. I've been with the Cyborgs and New Edeners since the beginning and I really feel connected to the people. Jessica choose a great story to end it all with. Pauline and Aiden were the first couple to fall in love so it makes sense they would be the focus of this final book. I actually cried in this book, something I hadn't done with any of the others. While I kind of wish we had been given some scenes of Aiden and Pauline from before, we did get enough memories and flashbacks to really understand and connect with them as a couple. My heart broke for Pauline when AL17 woke up and didn't know her, even though Connor tried so many times to explain that he wouldn't. It was painful to watch her interact with a man who looked exactly like the man she'd loved and lost. She was stronger than I would have been.

This story is dual POV, well written, and appears to close a story arc in this cyborg/human sci fi romance series. The author notes that it is best read as part of the series and I agree. I enjoyed AL17’s development and the changes he made based on his incoming memories. I empathised with Pauline’s pain and enjoyed her willingness to keep trying for a relationship. I enjoyed the integrated secondary characters and the way they worked together to resolve problems. I received a complimentary copy

I love the name of this story. It works very well with the story. I am so glad that the cloning worked the way it did. With new tech to improve it. A surprising development happened. A happy one too. Excellent story. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
