Some of the contents of the anthology are poems and strips containing biographies of romantic poets, brief information about the BPF and the festival, and descriptions of the festival's traditions. It also stresses what so many other currents of Western culture obscure: reverence for women. The writings are worshipful of the deity Durga and detail how the deity in a women's life gives strength, protection, and grace.
