Dr. Wenyi Yu is interested in the study of "the relationship between president and country". He received a letter from President Barack Obama in 2012 praising his initiatives as "thoughtful suggestion". Dr. Yu spent five years on a community reconstruction project in Buffalo, New York, and has many African American friends there. He proposed to build 100 regional economic engines (REE), which was affirmed by the US Department of Commerce, saying "greatly appreciate the contribution to the American economy and value your concern for the well-being of our communities". Dr. Yu also received information from former President Trump and President Biden, and the headquarters of the Republican Party and Democratic Party. He respects their efforts to build a better America. In 2009, the author, as a researcher of the Institute of Cultural Industries of Peking University, served as the Chief Planner, presided over the program “The Planning of Economic and Cultural Industries Development of Xuanwu District, Beijing City, 2009-2015”. He introduced the “urban historic evolution slice analysis" approach created by himself, anticipated that the population of the Beijing metropolitan area shall be 100 million. Dr. Yu also pointed out the necessity to build one more international airport in Beijing. He made a key speech to 200 government officials and won a high degree of evaluation. In 2009-2010, the author was invited by Beijing Municipal People's Government Financial Administration to preside the program "World Metropolis, Humanistic Beijing, and Cultural and Financial Development Planning". He once again proposed these two inferences-100 million population and an international airport in south Beijing. In 2014, the planning and construction of Xiong'an New District began. The Beijing Economic Circle has brought the prediction of 100 million population close to reality. On September 25, 2019, Beijing Daxing International Airport was officially opened to traffic after five-year construction. Dr. Yu lives in New York with his family.
