‘‘बेटा; तुम कमजोर हो गए हो। अपने खाने-पीने का ध्यान रखा करो।’’
‘‘न तो! कमजोर कहाँ हुआ हूँ; चच्चा! पहले जैसा ही तो हूँ। थोड़ा लंबा हो गया हूँ; इसलिए आपको कमजोर लग रहा होऊँगा।’’ मैंने हँसकर कहा।
‘‘बड़े भाई की दुकान पर जा रहे हो?’’
‘‘जी।’’
मेरे बड़े भाई मुस्तफा कलाम रेलवे स्टेशन रोड पर परचून की एक दुकान चलाते थे। मैं जब भी घर लौटता तो वे अकसर मुझे अपनी दुकान पर बुला लेते और कुछ देर के लिए दुकान मेरे जिम्मे छोड़ देते।
