About the author

Deepak Rawtani is an Associate Professor at the School of Pharmacy, National Forensic Sciences University, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India. He has gained extensive experience in the fields of molecular medicine, discovery biology, and nanobiotechnology at various research organizations. His research focuses on forensic nanobiotechnology, with a special emphasis on DNA-nanoparticle interactions and the functionalization of halloysite nanotubes for various applications, including enzyme immobilization, drug delivery, and environmental remediation.

Nitasha Khatri is a Senior Scientific Officer and Head of Laboratory at the Gujarat Environment Management Institute (GEMI), Forests and Environment Department, Govt. of Gujarat, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India. Her research focuses on environmental management, contributing to studies in the field of ecology including biomonitoring with macroinvertebrates, bioremediation using nanotechnology, rural environment management, environmental conservation, and source apportionment studies involving the monitoring and assessment of water, air, and soil.

Chaudhery Mustansar Hussain is an Adjunct Professor and Director of Laboratories in the Department of Chemistry & Environmental Sciences at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), Newark, New Jersey, United States. His research is focused on the applications of nanotechnology and advanced materials, environmental management, analytical chemistry, and other industries. Dr. Hussain is the author of numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals as well as a prolific author and editor in his research areas. He has published with Elsevier, the American Chemical Society, the Royal Society of Chemistry, John Wiley & Sons, CRC Press, and Springer.
