Chuck Palahniuk deeply clarified; nothing of me is original. I am the combined efforts of everyone I've ever known. Suppose you were the first and last human on this earth, would you still be able do what you are doing right now. Would you still be able to live like an individual identity without getting bored for too long? You know, being a writer, I have known myself for more than a decade and learned, being idle and in a meditative position, both are purely different. A busy man doesn't mean he's truly being himself but maybe, avoiding himself for too long with the desires and pleasures of life. If someone is constantly trying to indulge himself into various events, seeking more and more pleasures and celebrating too many occasions so he can feel he's accomplishing something then he’s running far away from his soul. The whole idea of celebration keeps us away from our chance to create a soulful connection. Hence, I truly ask, is anybody really living his life as an individual to do what he wants and responding to events and people as they think?
In the 21st century, attention is the real wealth. Every company is seeking our attention and that's the most costly thing to lose. We are getting brainwashed by social media, forced advertisements and consuming cheap dopamine and it has become so normal that people aren't thinking to discard them. As everybody is enjoying the fast dopamine, people have become so comfortable with losing their attention and time and they have no time to know themselves. Finding geniuses these days is very difficult. Even though people have great potential, they aren't reaching up to their best. The world is so busy that we are constantly seeking something to do and taking a rest feels like a waste of time. Now, people don't want to slow down.
Once you know the power of blissfulness after peace, you won't chase excitement. Individuality is not a choice but a practice and for that you have to live with yourself for too long to understand what really makes you peaceful. Trust me, it's not easy to live life as an individual human being because a lot of people would leave you & lose the idea of loving you, your pleasures would get faded and you would lose your excitement but will come into the phase when you truly live your solitude.

A culture is not the anonymous product of undifferentiated masses, but the sum of the intellectual achievements of individual men. - Ayn Rand.
